tutoring
Professional tutoring.
The Ortega School in St. Gallen offers professional tutoring for students of all ages and levels of education — from primary school to secondary school to high school and vocational training. Our experienced teachers address individual needs in a targeted manner and help fill gaps, deepen the basics or prepare for exams in a targeted manner. Through tailor-made learning programs and targeted support, we create optimal learning conditions for academic and professional success.
Exam preparation courses
We offer accompanying and intensive preparation courses that specifically prepare for the following exams:
- Lower secondary school entrance exam
- Entrance exams for FMS, IMS, WMS, BM and Gymnasium/Kanti
In addition to professional teaching, we also promote technical and mental skills so that our students are well prepared professionally and mentally. The consistently good audit results confirm the quality of our programs.

Special school programs
Ortega School's special school programs offer students flexible support for personal, family or school challenges. After assessing the situation, we create a tailor-made program of individual lessons and guided learning, which enables learning at your own pace and without social pressure.
The program is particularly suitable for:
- Returning to school after a long absence from school
- Preparation for vocational training and continuing vocational education
- Transfer to a higher school or another school
- Support for school refusal due to anxiety or bullying
- Dealing with school fatigue or massive learning difficulties
In addition, we offer an interim year “Internship & School”, which combines initial work experience with individual school support. This offer specifically prepares students for vocational training.
With over 30 years of experience, the Ortega School works closely with institutions and authorities to sustainably support students and create individual educational paths.

Our tutoring offers
Most students take one to two lessons (50 minutes each) per week. Depending on the objectives, we can recommend an individually suitable training option during a consultation. A block of 10 lessons is usually agreed upon, after which a joint decision is made on the continuation.
